American Quarter Horse Association Heritage Center and Museum

The internationally prominent American Quarter Horse Foundation desired to change it’s existing AQHA Heritage Center in Amarillo, Texas to a Hall of Fame and Museum to recognize the achievements of its members and their horses, and to display artifacts from the history of the American Quarter Horse.  The existing 18 year old facility was in need of a complete renovation, both inside and outside, as their need for additional space for archival quality storage areas and conservation of exhibits was critical.

Panhandle Plains Higher Education Foundation

After many years serving students in the Texas Panhandle by providing and servicing student loans as Panhandle Plains Management & Servicing Corporation, the Panhandle Plains Higher Education Foundation will shift to an entity that provides financial aid to students in the area through scholarships.  Their new facility features a large community room / board room where the Foundation can host trainings and workshops for students and parents.  The community room and lobby feature high vaulted wood ceilings and structural wood trusses.  The IT and storage room are constructed as a safe room with concrete walls and lid to provide shelter for the staff and visitors during a weather event.  The building also features a large outdoor patio for events and gatherings with a 12′ diameter terrazzo logo at the center.  A covered parking structure designed to complement the building design provides shelter for staff vehicles.  Scheduled to open in the Fall of 2021, the new facility will aid the Foundation in helping college students achieve their academic goals for many years to come.
